National Day of Writing

Writing does not have to begin with a blank document. For National Day of Writing, choose one person and write five lines by hand. Send a just-because postcard, add something real to a birthday or greeting card, write a legacy love letter, or reach back to someone you have been meaning to contact. The point is not perfect prose—it is preserving a thought, memory, or connection that matters. When you are finished, give the words a dependable place to live so they are not lost after the moment passes.
